The ACSO Posse is a group of dedicated men and women who volunteer their time and talent to further the mission of the Sheriff and his staff. 

The Posse currently assists with sex offender registration, reception at the Aiken County Detention Center, the Western Carolina State Fair, polo and other community events. The Posse works closely with ACSO Reserves, another volunteer program. Members wear a uniform but are unarmed and only perform non-enforcement duties as assigned by the Sheriff.

Individuals interested in joining the Posse complete a self-paced training program that familiarizes them with many of the functions of the Sheriffs Office.
